Recently, Aviya employees had the opportunity to host The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport and Mr. Gagan Sikand, our Member of Parliament for Mississauga-Streetsville. As a member of The Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, Mr. Sikand spoke about the long-standing relationship that Aviya has as a proud member of the Mississauga business community and the satisfaction he has knowing that an aerospace technology organization makes its home in Mississauga-Streetsville.

John Koumoundouros, CEO of Aviya Aerospace Systems, spoke about the benefit the federal government’s immigration and business policies play as a conduit for driving Aviya’s growth and allowing us to recruit the best and brightest from around the world.

Minister Garneau chatted with the large team of Aviya engineers who were excited to meet our two distinguished guests.  The Minister conveyed to our team the role organizations such as Aviya play in continuing to maintain Canada’s competitiveness in the global aerospace environment.  As the Minister of Transport, responsible for the safety and security of air travel, The Honourable Marc Garneau toured our facility to see the advanced engineering and certification capabilities that Aviya has developed to ensure aerospace systems meet the stringent safety and reliability requirements for the global aerospace market.
