We have an opening for an Operability Analyst to join our engineering group in Longueuil.

Specific Position Duties

  • Contributing to engine sub-system definition like the controls system
  • Generating transient simulation corresponding to aircraft maneuvers
  • Establishing test procedures to be performed on engine or component as well as supporting the tests being carried on test benches or aircrafts
  • Testing data analysis
  • Assessing requirement compliance via testing and/or analysis (engine and component levels)
  • Comparing simulation results and providing recommendations as applicable
  • Supporting engine certification process and creating relevant documentation OEM (aircraft manufacturers) and field support
  • Office environment and test cell (occasional)

Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (Aerodynamics, Aerospace, Avionics or Mechanical)
  • Gas turbine knowledge, system design, and good understanding of aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles are considered an advantage for this position
  • Proficiency at handling several analytical tasks concurrently and working with quickly evolving requirements and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to operate well in and at times lead teams.
  • Experience in operability, compressor aerodynamics, performance, controls or development/test an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential, programming skills and knowledge of Matlab/Simulink an asset
  • Bilingual (English, French)
  • May be required to travel or work night and week-end shifts based on business needs.
