We have an opening for an Engine Dynamics Engineer to join our engineering group in Longueuil.

Specific Position Duties:

  • Using Finite Element Analysis computer codes to determine rotor and casing response to out of balance forces
  • Predicting bearing loads, rotor deflections and shaft bending moments due to manoeuvre loads and blade-off conditions including windmilling
  • Predicting engine system response due to external induced loads
  • Using Finite Element Analysis computer codes to determine external tube systems dynamics response to engine and installation induced loads
  • Providing dynamics guidance during the accessory validation process.
  • Preparing ‘Requests for Tests’ for Engine and Rig testing
  • Analyzing test results in order to validate analytical predictions
  • Documenting results and investigations in Memorandum or Reports
  • Contributing to the Rotor Build and Assembly Validation Process
  • Troubleshooting of Production and In-Service Vibration Issues

Requirements

  • Capable of working alone and in teams,
  • Interested in sharing knowledge
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Bachelor and/or master’s in engineering (Mechanical)
  • Experience of using CATIA, LS-DYNA, Nastran, Ideas, Patran and/or other Finite Element analysis codes.
  • Practical experience of investigating rotor vibration issues (Development, Production or In-Service).
  • Good understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is required to analyses engine test data
